Finally. How much do you need to pray together right now. I. Cannot. Wait.
Starting on Friday November 1, a week from today, I will begin a 40 day Sadhana with a focus on building community for the next steps in our emerging world. My favorite activism (& best use of my projector Libra self) is Devotional Activism & one of my favorite things is to hold is these 40 Day Prayers. Believe me when I tell you that I have seen miracles happen: faith opening, love pouring through stones, bonds forming, life moving forward.
Sadhana is from Sanskrit & it means “a way of accomplishing something, to achieve an objective.” The prescription of 40 days comes from a variety of spiritual traditions symbolizing a period of testing & overcoming habitual responses.
It is obvious that we are at a crossroads, or in the middle of a series of major crossroads, in the way we individually & collectively see the world. In the beautiful communities of thought, prayer & activism that I participate in {thank you} there seems to be a fairly common thread right now that now it is time to build community in a way that we have never fully allowed ourselves before. In order to do this, we must know ourselves. As someone who has pretty much committed their life to knowing myself, I know I still have some untethering to do. Come sit with me & let’s see what happens.
I call this particular practice The Sadhana of Possibility. The meditations will focus on the new visions of beauty, within & without, & breaking through what we believe about the future.
The daily commitment is approximately 30 minutes.
