It’s been about a month since I began this . . . zine/blog/snuggle puddle/mirror & I appreciate all of your love & support. I look forward to diving more deeply into my own offerings here as well as leaping into the mycelial web of inspired writing & activism that is the Substack Community.
Thank you all for your patience, the world has truly turned upside down since the Equinox. We are all Seekers now, in the waiting room before the lifting of The Veil.
Ugh. It is excrutiating to look at & almost impossible to know how to be effective. How to be love. How to be some kind of help. To stop the suffering.
I know it sounds like spiritual bypassing to say this is all opportunity but Yes. This call to show up has never been greater. And I only share what I say to myself.
I get it. I don’t really wanna be here. I don’t really wanna make anything. I have a hard time managing my time. I just wanna rest. I just wanna be alone & sink into some kind of sublime stillness & be one with everything.
Perhaps you feel the same way. Yesterday someone wrote on my wall “I keep coming back to the love and comfort and peace around my body & contrasting it with the terror and pain surrounding others bodies.” This feels real. This feels connected. This feels healing for myself & others. And yet, I am afraid of disappearing. Afraid of wasting my privilege. Afraid of slipping between the cracks of the world. Afraid I won’t be able to pay my rent, to live.
I want to believe that stillness, forgiveness & presence is an act that resonates, that is of service, that is complete, that carries the gravitas of solace. For those less privileged, less resourced, with less agency, less safety, more deeply exhausted, below the waterline.
There is this idea of the Noosphere, a philosophical concept first articulated in 1927 by biogeochemist Vladimir Vernadsky & Jesuit priest, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. It takes the idea of biosphere one step further, a organic structure of human reason, that thought can create the next evolutionary layer. There were many that believed that the internet was the beginning of crystalizing this layer into a palpable reality & there was that hope (perhaps still is some hope) in the beginning, that this would truly make us one.
For many of us, this is where we get caught up. The lost world of the detritus of the internet & yet, the connection. Like prayer & love, a way to touch strangers many many miles away. It is a tool & we still have it. Like the biosphere, it works with life.
I am not going to fight rhetoric to rhetoric. I refuse. I feel for everyone’s grief & brokenheartedness, for the fear, for the lack of home, for the ravaged, the families of the dead, the babies & children, my Jewish loves included absolutely & I pray for the hostages. I stand for a way forward from the control of corrupt capitalism based on disempowering everyone & especially based on race & those oppressed for lifetimes. I stand with & for the innocent. I do stand with Palestine & I ask for ceasefire but we all know this is difficult & there are many more frontiers of compassion & emotional intelligence to come.
Thinking about a few other things angels:
It feels very odd to offer something at this time but it is what I do best & I would love to support you to direct your prayers, create your altars & lead your communities in prayer. I am sure you are already praying! Being together makes the confidence of connection that much more real. This weekend begins HOW TO BUILD A DEVOTIONAL PRACTICE ~ a three session intensive starting this Sunday {recordings will be available}~ October 29, November 5 & 12. Sign up & more info via link.
The last Breathwork we held in days just after October 7 & the weight of that prayer is still carrying me . . . here is the playlist in case you want to use it as a platform for your prayers & practices.
I know I told you last time, but I just watched this again last night. NEPTUNE FROST written by Saul Williams & filmed in Burundi, Afro futurist sci-fi poem of a movie about noosphere hackers & multi world revolution. GO SEE IT NOW. It will help.
Here is a great podcast by Adrienne Marie Browne HOW TO SURVIVE THE END OF THE WORLD, particularly this episode CEASEFIRE. Although recorded a couple of weeks ago, the resources are still relevant & the perspective compassionate & firm.
I LOVE YOU 💞 STAY CLOSE
